Cheez-It Scrabble Junior Baked Snack Crackers

One day while I was grocery shopping I came across Cheez-It Scrabble Junior Baked Snack Crackers. It’s a fun snack that I use to play alphabet games with my daughter and a tasty treat that she enjoys as well. It’s also great as a travelling snack for road trips or everyday errands.

I typically put a handful of the snack crackers into little baggies. The snack size baggies are great for portion control. However the box is a keeper and is also a great to bring along since you can play Scrabble on the back using the Cheez-It Scrabble Junior pieces.

You can also improvise and play other games. For instance, I like to ask my daughter to tell me what letter she pulls out of the bag before she eats it.

Phineas and Ferb Soundtrack

My three year old daughter is hooked on Phineas and Ferb.

This comes after a brief stint of enjoying Sponge Bob (which I do not like at all). Sponge Bob came after a weekend affair with Little Einsteins. I like the musical connection with famous composers of classical music that Little Einsteins incorporates into each show.

Little Einsteins came after an on again off again affection for Scooby Doo. It tripped me out watching episodes of Scooby Doo that I used to watch as a kid with my daughter. There was an updated version of Scooby Doo that came out in the 90′s that she enjoyed even more than the originals. I found those interesting as well.

Scooby Doo came after a serious relationship with Noggin (now known as Nick Jr.) which came after her first love Baby Einsteins (not to be confused with Little Einsteins).

What I like about Phineas and Ferb are the songs they play in the episodes. I usually access the episodes On Demand via Comcast. I especially enjoyed the song on the episode “Oh There You Are” where the sister Candace hides the family pet Perry the Platypus and Phineas and Ferb write a song about how much they miss him.

Lady Bug Corduroy Jumper

When I was little, my aunt used to call me “Ladybug”. I always thought that was such a cute nickname and I told myself that I would call my child that nickname if I had a girl. Well, I have a girl and I don’t call her “Ladybug”. It just doesn’t seem to fit her. However, I’ve come up with lots of other cute nicknames that fit her just fine.

Inside Outside Upside Down

My daughter’s favorite book right now is Inside Outside Upside Down by Stan and Jan Berenstein. It’s a cute book from the Dr. Seuss family. Even though she is only 3 she can pretty much read the book on her own now by just looking at the pictures.

Brother Bear gets into a box. Papa Bear turns the box upside down, takes it outside, and puts it on a truck. The simple art and rhyming text make this a perfect choice for teaching spatial concepts.
