Oven Baked Chicken
I originally saw the Oven Baked Chicken recipe on the back of a Bisquick box. I now use a basic recipe that includes using a packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix. I alter this recipe from time to time to create other variations.
Ingredients
· 2 tablespoons of butter
· 1/2 cup flour
· 1 (2.0 ounce) packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix
· 4 – 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Equipment
· Tongs
· Glass baking dish
· Gallon size plastic zip bag
Directions
1. Pre-heat oven to 425°F. Place butter in glass baking dish then place dish into the oven.
2. Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with a paper towel or kitchen cloth. Set aside.
3. Add flour and Lipton Onion Soup Mix to a gallon size plastic zip bag. Seal the bag and shake to combine ingredients.
4. Remove the baking dish from the oven (once the butter is melted).
5. Place one piece of chicken into the bag. Seal and shake the bag until chicken is coated with the flour/onion soup mixture. Use the tongs to place the chicken breast into the glass dish (butter and baking dish should be hot). Repeat with the remaining pieces of chicken.
6. Place the glass dish back into the oven. Bake 10 minutes; turn chicken. Bake about 5-10 minutes longer or until juice is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
