Teddy Bear Rice Krispie Treats

Wilton Teddy Bear Cake PanMy Toastmaster’s club had a holiday party and the Toastmaster for the evening made Rice Krispie Bears for everyone to take home with them as a party favor. They were really cute.

She used miniature teddy bear molds then pressed a portion of a warm batch of rice krispie treats into each one. Once cooled, she took the bears out of the molds then decorated the face with chocolate icing, highlighting the mouth, nose and eyes. Next, she added a red candy heart on the bear’s chest to make it extra special. She placed the decorated bears into indivual cellophane bags tied with a red bow.

It’s a cute idea that works for Christmas, Valentine’s Day and practically any other holiday…just change the color of the heart. For example, you could use pastel hearts with messages on them for Valentine’s Day or try a bunny mold instead of a bear on Easter.

Here’s the original recipe for Rice Krispie Treats!
